Privacy policy
RouteFound collects only the information needed to operate and improve the eligibility finder.
Information we collect
We store anonymous first-party usage events such as page views, finder starts, calculator completions, result opens, official-source clicks, partner-offer views, and partner-link clicks. A finder start is recorded once when someone first changes a finder field; the event does not include the field value. We also use PostHog in cookieless mode to measure aggregate traffic and the same product events. RouteFound disables PostHog session recording, automatic interaction capture, persistent browser storage, and person profiles. We do not send PostHog email addresses or calculator income and passport answers.
Partner measurement records identify the provider, page placement, relevant route, and whether the offer entered the visible page area or was clicked; RouteFound does not intentionally add an email address, advertising identifier, or cross-site tracking profile to these analytics records.
If you save a shortlist, we store your email address, calculator answers, matched routes, and whether you separately opted into occasional updates. If you contact us, we store your name, email address, and message.
How we use it
Usage events help us understand whether the product works and whether an optional partner is relevant. Saved-shortlist information supports the requested report workflow. We send marketing or editorial updates only where the optional consent box was selected. Contact information is used to respond to the message.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell personal information. Infrastructure, PostHog analytics, and email providers may process data solely to operate and improve RouteFound. When you follow an external partner link, that provider receives the request and may apply its own cookies or tracking under its privacy policy. We retain information only while it supports the product, legal obligations, or a legitimate operational need.
Your choices
You can use the calculator without submitting an email, save a shortlist without joining the update list, and go directly to a provider without using RouteFound’s affiliate link. Every marketing email will include an unsubscribe method. To request access, correction, or deletion, use the contact form and identify the email address involved.
